Week 9 Reading B - Filipino Tales

Today's stories were pretty interesting. I think my favorite part about them was that a lot of them were origin stories. They also had some stories that had really good moral stories. The one I liked of those was the one where the envious crow lost his meat to the hawk for trying to steal the other little bird's rat. The writing was simple and easy to read. No extravagant words or overly-detailed scenes. Plain and simple stories that had good moral lessons that were straight to the point!

My name is Jose Juan Ruiz Macias Jr. I am the son of Jose Juan Macias Ruiz and Irma Liliana Ruiz Ramos. Both are Mexican immigrants that came to the USA in 1997. I was born that same year in the small town of Sun Valley, Idaho. I spent my first year of life there. Week 4 Storytelling - Hannah's Wrath

He wore a long grey coat over his wrangler jeans and button-up shirt. The waitress could tell he was troubled. Man: "I'll take a coffee, please." His voice was so deep and robust it imitated the thunder from the storm outside. Waitress: "Sure thing, hun, any dinner or  slice of pie for you tonight?" Man: "No thank you." The waitress quickly brewed up a fresh batch of steaming hot coffee. The earthy aroma filled the diner. Waitress: "Here you go hun. Sugar or creamer?" Man: "Please."
